IC4IJ Policy: New Study Outlines Barriers for Undocumented Elders to Healthcare

Riverside, CA – On Monday, IC4IJ Director Javier Hernandez facilitated a panel discussion on the obstacles facing Undocumented Elders in the Inland Empire. The panel was part of a collaborative study with Professor Cecilia Ayón, MSW, PhD, School of Public Policy, University of California Riverside, the Center for Social Innovation at UCR, the Inland Coalition for Immigrant Justice (IC4IJ), Inland Empire Youth Coalition (IEIYC) and CIYJA.
“This study is part of our ongoing #Health4All campaign and our fight to ensure all people including undocumented adults get access to healthcare. No one should be denied medical accesss, it is a universal right and we must ensure our policy reflects California’s values” said Javier Hernandez, Director of IC4IJ.
