Monica Acevedo

Monica Acevedo was born in El Salvador. As an immigrant, she deeply understands the realities faced by our migrant communities and feels a strong empathy towards them, driven by her constant desire to better herself. She strongly believes in justice and in defending the rights of the most vulnerable communities, many of which are unaware of the existence of organizations that can provide them with support.

Since 2013, she has worked in non-profit organizations, participating in various programs that have allowed her to gain valuable experience. Her commitment to community empowerment is reflected in her work as a bridge between people and opportunities for personal, emotional, employment and advocacy growth.

Her experience working directly with communities, mostly immigrants, has strengthened her ability to provide the necessary support to families facing adversity, helping them to move forward and build a better future for themselves and their generations.

The opportunity to work at IC4IJ represents a fundamental platform to raise the voices of our communities, promote awareness of their rights, unite as a community and demonstrate that it is possible to achieve their goals.
